Supporting Alameda Parks
Founded in 1982, Friends of Alameda Parks and Recreation Foundation, Incorporated (“Friends of the Parks”) is celebrating its 40th anniversary of service and funding to the Alameda community.
Friends of the Parks is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization whose mission is to promote, protect, and support recreation and park activities as well as community wellness in Alameda. We support the preservation and improvements of resources through sponsoring local programs and projects in cooperation with the Alameda community and the Alameda Recreation and Park Department. Our success is dependent upon our members, volunteers, and individual/business donors.
We have proudly donated to or sponsored the following projects, programs and facility improvements, which impact thousands of Alamedans.
Our ongoing goal is playing as large of a role as possible in supporting recreation and wellness in our amazing community.
