The Friends of the Parks Foundation exists to preserve and enhance Alameda's open spaces, recreational areas and recreational opportunities for the enjoyment of all Alamedans. It is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, overseen by community volunteers. Its role is to raise and allocate money city-wide to park, recreational and wellness projects.
